Tuesday we had Mackenzy's one year check! We had a long wait to see the doctor but Miss Mackenzy kept the entire waiting room entertained for about an hour and a half! She was walking around and talking to everyone. When we finally got taken back to a room she was weighed (21 lbs 7oz - 70th percentile) and 31 inches (90th percentile). While we were waiting for the doctor Mackenzy kept running out in the hall (in just her diaper) and I kept running after her. The doctor said she was doing great. She did scream her head off though when she got her shots but I gave her a hug and she was all better!
Wednesday we went to Adam's parents for his mothers birthday. The kids were crazy and running all around, it was great to see them interact now that Mackenzy can walk and run with them. We had pizza for dinner and then some birthday cake, so boy was I surprised when I weighed myself this morning and was 4.2lbs below my 1st pre-natal visit weight! I was so excited because for me the weight has been hard to get off. I really have to work at which is something I never had to do throughout high school and college.
The Biggest Loser always inspires me but this year it really hit me. If the people on the show can go on national television and work their asses of than so can I! I have about 15 more pounds to lose before my 1st goal weight is complete. I am really hoping I can keep up with this. I am sure running after our princess will help me too!
Now that the first round of the playoffs are finally ending the Flyers now have their opponent! We can not wait until Saturday to cheer them on! Let's Go Flyers!

Catching Up
Apparently I am not very good at keeping up with our family blog! I feel like we have had something to do almost every day for the past few weeks. Does life ever settle down? Probably not but I kind of like it that way...sometimes!
The weekend after Mackenzy's party, I went to my friends wedding ceremony and then we had our friend Beth and Dave's bachelorette/bachelor parties. The bride looked absolutely beautiful! The partying was fun although staying out that late has took a toll on us. It took me about a week to recover from the lack of sleep. Mackenzy also got to experience some playoff hockey on Sunday. She was rooting for her team, Let's Go Flyers!!!
This past weekend we went to our friends house to visit with them and the kids! Their son Johnny and Mackenzy are in love already. I know this because he shared all of his trucks with Mackenzy and he did not mind her putting them in her mouth! Madison also loved playing with Mackenzy, I am sure she is excited to be a big sister once again!
Saturday I had my 10 year high school reunion. It was a lot of fun but a lot of us were like, "Holy shit! Where did the last 10 years ago!?!?" My friend is already planning our 25th reunion, she cracks me up!
This afternoon we have Mackenzy's one year check up! I can not wait to see her stats because she has definitely grown since her last check up. I am not looking forward to the shots though!
Here are some pics from the last week or so (sorry some are blurry, they are from my phone):

It Came and Went....
Friday and Saturday were insanely busy days for at the "P" household. We had so much to do for Mackenzy's party. As much as I wonder why I put myself through all of this, it was definitely worth it in the end.
Saturday started off great and I seemed to have everything under control. That did not last long, while I was at the hall, Adam called and said he didn't have a carseat for Mackenzy. How could this be you ask? Well that is because with all of the running around I had been doing, I forgot to leave my car keys for him. Luckily my mom was at the hall with me and came to the rescue. She drove my car keys down to Adam and our little princess made it to her party before the guests arrived. When everyone started to come into the hall poor Mackenzy looked so confused. She had a "why are all these people here?" look on her face. Then I think it hit her and she realized everyone was there for her. She was so good at the party at walking all over the place. I still can not believe how much she is walking!
In the end, the party was a success! The kids had fun looking at the fire trucks and decorating cupcakes.
It was great to see how many people love Mackenzy and wanted to celebrate her 1st Birthday with her! She now has a lot of new toys and I think her summer wardrobe is complete! Let me tell you, the clothes she received are all so stinkin' adorable and I can not wait to dress her in them!
We are so excited for what the next year will bring as well as what Mackenzy may do next!

Mackenzy's Big Day!
Yes, I know I am a slacker and haven't been keeping up with my blog! I am making up for it now :)
Last Thursday was Mackenzy's 1 st Birthday! I was in denial about this because I can not believe how fast the last year has gone but my denial did not stop it from coming.
Adam and I took Mackenzy to the zoo for her big day. At first she was like, "What the heck is going on?" Then she started talking to the ostriches and the giraffes.
Apparently bc they have four legs she considered them to be a dog. Yes, that is right our genius child was calling them dogs! We also saw lions but no tigers and bears!
At the end of the day, she really enjoyed it! As a souvenir, we bought her some books from the store, one was called Zoo Poo! LOL!

That night we had Mackenzy's grandparents over to celebrate her birthday. We had pizza (one of Mack's faves) and then she dug into her cake! After digging into her cake, she preceeded to throw it on the floor, thank goodness for the dogs!

Getting Ready for the Big Day!
Mackenzy's 1st birthday is tomorrow! I think she is getting really excited for her birthday and her party because she was up extra early today! I am so excited I was able to take off and that Adam and I will be able to spend her BIG day with her. We are planning on taking her to the zoo in the morning. I do not know how she will react to it but I am hoping she loves it! If not at least it will be nice out and we get to spend the afternoon outside. I am hoping that the rain will hold off until we get home! Then tomorrow night her grandparents are coming over for dinner and cake to celebrate!
Thursday night and Friday, we will be doing a lot of cooking and baking for her party! I am making a bazillion cupcakes! Ok, not a bazillion but about 125! I hope Mackenzy is ready to work!
I will post pics when I can from the zoo and her big party! For now, here are her Easter pics! She will be getting pics with her other cousins soon!

Remembering Last Year
This time last year I was going about my day as usual. After work, I was going to my 37 week appointment, anxious and excited, to see if I made any progress! Adam met me at the doctors office and we waited patiently for the doctor to come. For the second week in a row my blood pressure was high! As soon as I saw my BP, I knew that meant I was going to Labor and Delivery for the 3rd time in 2 weeks. After being admitted, they notice the little baby's heart rate kept dipping so they decided to keep me overnight. Well, the next morning they told me they were keeping me and going to induce labor, bc little baby Pretcher's heart kept dipping during the night! I am guessing, little baby Pretcher was ready to come into the world and meet all the family and friends that were awaiting her arrival. Being induced is not the best experience in the world but it was quickly forgotten when I caught my first glimpse of Mackenzy Rae.
I can not believe that has all happened a year ago and in two days, my baby will be 1! She may no longer be consided a baby but she will always be our baby!
