so I figured why the hell not update my blog. A blog I am sure no one is reading none the less but one of the reasons I said I was going to do this was for Mackenzy so here it goes.
We have been very busy. I do not think that we have had a free weekend since April/May and we will not have one for awhile. We have been having fun though so that counts for something!
This weekend we were up the mountains. Mackenzy loved being able to run around in wide open space. She also loved having her cousin Kayleigh to play with. People were amazed with how much she is talking and the things she is saying. She has occasionally dropped the "f" bomb, which means we had to watch our mouths. It really is amazing the things they pick up on so quick.
The other night when I was packing for our trip, we were in our room. She came up to me and started shaking her butt and singing "Shake your boom boom". I laughed at the same time thinking I had to talk to my mom to see if she taught her that. Then I turned around and saw them doing it on Dora. The map on Dora was telling her to shake it! ha She loves Dora and sometimes I think she is Dora. She cracks us both up and I love her to pieces.
Here are some recent pics of our baby girl even though she no longer looks like a baby.

It has been awhile....
I promised myself that since Adam bought me a new laptop for Christmas, I would keep up with the blog. As you can see that did not happen. Time has really gotten away from me and before we know it, we will be celebrating our baby's 2nd birthday.
Two? Two? I keep saying that to myself. Since I found out I was pregnant time has just flown by and our little baby is turning into a toddler. She has been keep us on our toes, running around like a maniac and talking up a storm.
Two weeks ago, it was nice out so after dinner we took her to Rita's for water ice. She wanted chocolate and she loved it. She kept saying "Yummy!" while making a mess. How else is an almost two year old expected to eat a water ice?
The day before I had to leave to go to Ohio for work, we went to the mall so I could get some shirts to bring with me. While we were there, we decided to take Mackenzy to Build-A-Bear. She did not end up getting a bear, she wanted the Kitty instead. Our daughter is so creative that when I asked her what she wanted to name her kitty she said "Meow"....lol
The day I had to go away for work Mackenzy rode to the airport with my mom to drop me off. She thinks all planes go to Mickey's House so I had to tell her I was not going there without her. When My mom drove away, Mackenzy said to my mom "She'll be back." and all through the week she would say "Mommy, plane, she'll be back." It amazes me that she comprehended that but then again she surprises me everyday.
It is all of the little stories like the ones above that make Adam and I grateful everyday to have her in our lives. She may be terrible two'ing sometimes but she is truly wonderful. We can not wait to add to our family...someday! For now we will just settle for the new babies our friends are having!

Whoa October!!!
I can not believe it is nearing the end of October already! It is really insane how fast the days, months, years go by!
Last night we went to Mackenzy's 18 month check-up. She was not this happy when we left...

She weighed in at 25lbs (60th percentile and 33.5 inches (90th percentile). She is getting so big way to fast for my liking. I was worried about her communication skills for a while but in the past few weeks she has flourished. She will occasionally count to 5 and she will sing "Happy to you!" (Happy Birthday). For months I have been trying to get her to show/tell me where her ears, eyes, mouth and nose (starting small) are and she would only do nose. Now she will do eyes, nose and ears...sometimes getting them mixed, hey we are not all perfect.
We also did our annual family trip to the pumpkin patch. Mackenzy had a great time running around and picking apples. She was not too interested in the pumpkins though...maybe next year! The pumpkin patch is one of Adam and my favorite things to do in the fall and I know my parents enjoy time with their girls as well.

We have another Red October! The "P" household really enjoys cheering on the Phillies! Adam and I went out for the one of the games in the NLDS with our friends and it was a lot of fun! Enjoying the playoff games with your friends, neighbors and family is one of the best ways to watch.

Let's Go Phils, Flyers and Eagles!!!

Summer is almost over!!!!
The summer season is almost over but I am definitely looking forward to the fall. We will be able to take Mackenzy for walks and to the playground more often because it won't be so hot or humid out.
We had a busy summer with a day trip to the shore, play dates, a trip to the zoo and many trips up the mountains. She loved the beach and was running all over the place. I can not wait to take her down next year and build sand castles with her! We all loved our Curly fries and Sam's pizza. Whenever we had a play date she was so lovey with her friends, constantly giving them kisses and aww'ing them. A few months really does make a difference because when we went to the zoo, she was more into it than she was for her 1st birthday.
Most importantly, our little monkey has grown so much and is talking A LOT! This past weekend up the mountains, she started calling my mom JoJo. Mackenzy said it a lot...it was "JoJo, JoJo" or "Where is JoJo"! We are working on the grandmom part. She loves her books, especially "No more monkeys jumping on the bed", she says this while shaking her finger. It is hilarious! Also, Mackenzy already has an obsession with shoes! She is 17 months and loves loves loves her shoes. We are in so much trouble!
The past few months have brought some milestones from Mackenzy, a few of our friends have gotten engaged, and some beautiful babies were born. I can not wait to see what the next few months bring!
Here are some pictures of our summer fun!

Slacker, Yes that is ME!!!
Holy hell! I can not believe I have not posted since the end of April. Can you tell we have been busy?!?!? We have had so much going on the past month and a half...it never ends. We have had a lot of fun though and that has to count for something!
Mackenzy is running all over the place and is a climber. She has no fear that child but she sure scares her mom and dad. Her Aunt April bought her a rocking chair for her birthday, Mackenzy climbs on the arms and rocks back and forth. She thinks it is a stool bc she rarely will sit on it. She has also attempted to climb into her pack'n'play. Don't most children try to get out them? And the stairs, forget them, she climbs up them so fast we always have to have the gate up or make sure we are right there with her. Hey, at least we are getting exercise chasing after her. God bless her Nan and Pop who have her during the day while we are at work.
We have also learned that Mackenzy apparently thinks she is ENTITLED! I hope this is just a phase, we do not need a diva in our house! We were at a 2nd birthday party last weekend and Miss Mackenzy took a pretzel off a little girl, tried to take the birthday boy's juice box and tried swiping a cane of an elderly woman. We need her to start watching more Dora so she can learn "Swiper, no swiping!"....lol!
I love that she is showing more personality with each day! When someone walks in the door she recognizes she shouts out an enthusiastic "Hi!" and gets all excited. Her daddy has been working a lot of overtime lately and when he comes home he says, "Hi" and then goes to get a shower, well Mackenzy goes right to the steps to try and climb up the stairs to see her daddy. Seeing how they interact melts my heart. She truly loves her daddy time.
We put her in her pool a few weekends ago. She loved it! She kept trying to drink the water and did not want to get it. I think she would have stayed in all day but I had to get her out so she could take a nap before we went to our neighbors to watch the Flyers game and eat dinner.
How about those Flyers?!?! What a season they had! Yes, we are a little sad that they didn't win it all but man what a great post season they had! It was unbelievable and so exciting. I am sad that the season is over but now we can focus on the Phillies....hopefully, they get out of their slump and back into first place where they belong.
Well that is it for now, here are some pictures of what we have been up too lately...

It's Only Thursday?!?!?
Tuesday we had Mackenzy's one year check! We had a long wait to see the doctor but Miss Mackenzy kept the entire waiting room entertained for about an hour and a half! She was walking around and talking to everyone. When we finally got taken back to a room she was weighed (21 lbs 7oz - 70th percentile) and 31 inches (90th percentile). While we were waiting for the doctor Mackenzy kept running out in the hall (in just her diaper) and I kept running after her. The doctor said she was doing great. She did scream her head off though when she got her shots but I gave her a hug and she was all better!
Wednesday we went to Adam's parents for his mothers birthday. The kids were crazy and running all around, it was great to see them interact now that Mackenzy can walk and run with them. We had pizza for dinner and then some birthday cake, so boy was I surprised when I weighed myself this morning and was 4.2lbs below my 1st pre-natal visit weight! I was so excited because for me the weight has been hard to get off. I really have to work at which is something I never had to do throughout high school and college.
The Biggest Loser always inspires me but this year it really hit me. If the people on the show can go on national television and work their asses of than so can I! I have about 15 more pounds to lose before my 1st goal weight is complete. I am really hoping I can keep up with this. I am sure running after our princess will help me too!
Now that the first round of the playoffs are finally ending the Flyers now have their opponent! We can not wait until Saturday to cheer them on! Let's Go Flyers!

Catching Up
Apparently I am not very good at keeping up with our family blog! I feel like we have had something to do almost every day for the past few weeks. Does life ever settle down? Probably not but I kind of like it that way...sometimes!
The weekend after Mackenzy's party, I went to my friends wedding ceremony and then we had our friend Beth and Dave's bachelorette/bachelor parties. The bride looked absolutely beautiful! The partying was fun although staying out that late has took a toll on us. It took me about a week to recover from the lack of sleep. Mackenzy also got to experience some playoff hockey on Sunday. She was rooting for her team, Let's Go Flyers!!!
This past weekend we went to our friends house to visit with them and the kids! Their son Johnny and Mackenzy are in love already. I know this because he shared all of his trucks with Mackenzy and he did not mind her putting them in her mouth! Madison also loved playing with Mackenzy, I am sure she is excited to be a big sister once again!
Saturday I had my 10 year high school reunion. It was a lot of fun but a lot of us were like, "Holy shit! Where did the last 10 years ago!?!?" My friend is already planning our 25th reunion, she cracks me up!
This afternoon we have Mackenzy's one year check up! I can not wait to see her stats because she has definitely grown since her last check up. I am not looking forward to the shots though!
Here are some pics from the last week or so (sorry some are blurry, they are from my phone):
